INDUSTRIAL MIXERS

Industrial mixers are agitated industrial vessels designed and manufactured to user requirements to mix raw materials used in processes or the final product. In mixers, which provide suitable conditions for mixing according to the product and process characteristics, heating, cooling and mixing can be designed for separate or combined use.

Applications of Industrial Mixers

Mixers are used in many sectors, led by food and chemicals and including petrochemicals, paint, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. The impeller design is determined by the viscosity and other properties of the material to be mixed. Depending on system requirements, additional equipment such as homogenisers can also be used.

Impeller Types

• Propeller and turbine impellers: For fast mixing and dissolving in low-viscosity liquids
• Anchor impellers: For high-viscosity products and for improving heat transfer in jacketed vessels, with wall scrapers where required
• Paddle impellers: For slow, uniform mixing of medium-viscosity products
• High-speed disperser or homogeniser: For dispersing powders into liquids and preparing emulsions

Design and Materials

As every system has different operating parameters such as pressure, vacuum and temperature, Makfen industrial mixers are designed and manufactured to suit your process requirements. Mixers are built in AISI 304/316L stainless steel or carbon steel as required; mixers operating under pressure or vacuum are designed to the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU and EN 13445 or ASME VIII.
