TABLET CONTAINER

A tablet container is a stainless steel container used in the pharmaceutical industry to transfer tablets, coated tablets and capsules between production stages and to hold them as intermediate stock. Carrying the product in a closed, protected container between tablet compression, coating, inspection and packaging lines, tablet containers are made entirely from AISI 316L, AISI 316 or AISI 304 stainless steel. Tablet Container Design

Tablet containers can be made in prismatic, cylindrical or other shapes requested by the customer. Internal surfaces are usually mirror-polished, although a satin finish is used in some applications. Smooth internal surfaces, rounded corners and a design without dead spaces reduce product residues and make cleaning validation easier. The design follows GMP hygienic design principles.

By allowing the product to be transferred without breakage or dust, tablet containers reduce manual handling and transfer operations. This saves time between production lines and reduces labour requirements. Using dedicated containers for different products also reduces the risk of cross-contamination.
